what I’ve learned about change
over these past few years I’ve learned that change isn’t going to happen if you don’t let it happen. You are in control of you. Sitting there and wishing that things were different isn’t going to do anything. There were days when I was overweight and I’d pray to wake up skinny the next day. But let’s be honest, that’s unrealistic and change doesn’t happen overnight. I noticed changes a few months into losing weight only after I saw pictures of me before. I’d go “wow that was me?” and today I still do. Getting to where you want to be is hard work, I know it is. Other people get to where they want to be faster than others and some people can lose weight in the snap of a finger, while others have plateaued and the scale doesn’t change for months. But overcoming that and working harder is when you will see results. You’ll see results when you keep telling yourself that you’ll lose the weight, when you have another successful day of eating clean, or fasting or whatever you do. You just need the motivation. Do it for you. Do it for the “I told you so.” Do it for the amazing before and after photos. Do it so you can wow everyone. Do it so you can finally be happy with yourself.
